2022 is set to experience an interesting finale to the year in retail as the sector has shaken off the challenges of the last two years and taken a big step forward in terms of innovation and new business models e.g. personalisation and social media analytics.
Quarter 3 has shown double-digit performance despite strong economic headwinds, driven by higher sales in W. Europe, Americas, and Japan offsetting lower sales in Russia and China.
The luxury sector is steaming ahead and the Big are getting Bigger. While e-commerce sales spiked, brick-and-mortar sales increased markedly with store differentiation being the key.
